Hides are legal by-products of food livestock. We do not sell CITES-listed species leather or real fur. Chromium VI is limited to ≤ 3 mg/kg and azo dyes to the REACH Annex XVII limits; metal fittings meet the REACH nickel release limit. Supplier declarations for the current batch are on file and can be requested by email.

Dyes and tanning agents are used in every leather article. Do not let a dog chew leather goods for extended periods.

06Care and natural variation

Hand wash the knit cold, keep the palm patch out of the water where possible.

Grain, scars and shade vary from hide to hide, and the colour of a vegetable-tanned piece deepens with light and use. Two pieces ordered at different times will not match exactly. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect.

Fingerless gloves with a full-grain palm patch, for handling a long line or walking a heavy dog in cold weather. The leather takes the friction instead of your hand.

Backs are wool-blend knit; palms and thumb crotch are leather. Sizes S, M, L by hand circumference.

Sold as a pair. The palm patch will scuff — that is the patch doing its job.
