The rule we work to
Under § 25 TTDSG, anything stored on or read from your device that is not strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for requires your prior, informed, freely given consent. Strictly necessary storage does not.
We have taken that literally. The banner you saw on arrival offers reject and accept as two identical buttons, the same size, the same weight, side by side. Nothing is pre-ticked. Refusing has no effect on your ability to browse, measure, add to the cart or order.

Both are stored in your browser and are never transmitted to us as cookies on a request. There is no session cookie, because the shop does not require an account.
Measurement — only if you accept
If you accept, we set aggregate page statistics so we can see which guides are read and which pages people leave from. That data is aggregated, is not used to build a profile of you, is not shared with advertisers, and is kept for at most 12 months.
If you reject, none of it is set. There is no fallback tracking, no fingerprinting, and no “legitimate interest” analytics running behind a rejection.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No social media tracking or embedded social buttons.
- No third-party font, map or video service that would disclose your IP address.
- No cross-site identifiers and no device fingerprinting.
Changing your mind
Your choice is recorded for 12 months and you can change it whenever you like, in either direction.
You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored choice, the cart, and anything else this site has kept. Blocking storage entirely still leaves the site usable; the cart will simply not survive a page reload.
