Hides are legal by-products of food livestock. We do not sell CITES-listed species leather or real fur. Chromium VI is limited to ≤ 3 mg/kg and azo dyes to the REACH Annex XVII limits; metal fittings meet the REACH nickel release limit. Supplier declarations for the current batch are on file and can be requested by email.

Dyes and tanning agents are used in every leather article. Do not let a dog chew leather goods for extended periods.

06Care and natural variation

Wipe dry. Replace once the adjustment range is used up.

Grain, scars and shade vary from hide to hide, and the colour of a vegetable-tanned piece deepens with light and use. Two pieces ordered at different times will not match exactly. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect.

A first collar for a young animal getting used to wearing one. Ten millimetres wide, 1.8 mm leather, and a breakaway buckle so it parts if it catches on something.

Eight adjustment holes across an 8 cm range. Young animals grow week to week; re-measure often and move up before the last hole.

Because of the breakaway buckle this collar is not for attaching a lead. Use a harness for the first lead work.
