Chromium VI is limited to ≤ 3 mg/kg and azo dyes to the REACH Annex XVII limits; metal fittings meet the REACH nickel release limit. Supplier declarations for the current batch are on file and can be requested by email.

Dyes and tanning agents are used in every leather article. Do not let a dog chew leather goods for extended periods.

06Care and natural variation

Check the breakaway buckle monthly and after any release. Replace if it no longer parts cleanly.

Grain, scars and shade vary from hide to hide, and the colour of a vegetable-tanned piece deepens with light and use. Two pieces ordered at different times will not match exactly. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect.

A cat collar must come apart if it snags, and this one does: the buckle separates under a set load rather than holding. That is the single most important thing about it.

Ten millimetres wide in thin full-grain leather, with a small brass ring for a lightweight tag. Nothing on this collar is intended for attaching a lead.

Never put a dog collar on a cat. A dog collar is built not to release, which is exactly wrong for an animal that climbs.
