Hides are legal by-products of food livestock. We do not sell CITES-listed species leather or real fur. Chromium VI is limited to ≤ 3 mg/kg and azo dyes to the REACH Annex XVII limits; metal fittings meet the REACH nickel release limit. Supplier declarations for the current batch are on file and can be requested by email.

Dyes and tanning agents are used in every leather article. Do not let a dog chew leather goods for extended periods.

06Care and natural variation

Close the tin firmly. Store away from direct sun.

Grain, scars and shade vary from hide to hide, and the colour of a vegetable-tanned piece deepens with light and use. Two pieces ordered at different times will not match exactly. That is the material behaving normally, not a defect.

A 50 ml tin of balm made from beeswax and neutral oils, plus a cotton cloth. Enough for a collar and two leads over roughly a year.

Test on a small hidden area first — every hide takes wax differently and darkening is normal. Apply thinly, let it stand, then buff.

Let the item dry fully before the dog wears it again. This is leather care, nothing more: it makes no claim about the dog.
